The Imperial Sarovian Navy (ISN) is the naval warfare force of the New Sarovian Empire and Her Colonies and Dominions and a component of His Imperial Majesty's Naval Service. Although warships were used by Sarovian monarchs in antiquity, the first major sea battles were fought in the Second Saro-Aurean War (2022) in 295 AS. The modern Imperial Navy has its origins since the end of the Second Saro-Aurean War. It is one of the oldest armed institutions in the New Sarovian Empire.

Since the arrival of the Sarovians on Ostos in 2016, the Imperial Navy has competed with the Aurean Old Guard Corps, and later, the Imperial Aurean Navy divided into three main ships: HEWS Mevarus, HEWS Ironclad, and HEWS Sovereign, with the aim of conquering maritime supremacy in the Graalian world. From mid-295 AS until autality, it is the most powerful navy in the world. The Imperial Navy played a fundamental role in Sarovian colonization and expansion, participating in several campaigns to defend Sarovian Dominions such as: the Dominion of Carolusburg and Aurea.

The Imperial Navy maintains a fleet of technologically sophisticated ships, containing 2 Battle Ships (Zor Class), 5 Cruisers (Ridgeway Class), 4 Destroyers (Alexander Class), 8 Frigates (Fairfax Class), 3 Gunboats (Autumnwood Class), 2 Coastal Patrol (Redwater Class) and 13 Transports and Tugs. Among these, there are historic ships still in activity such as the HIMS Punitive (responsible for sinking the HEWS Ironclad), HIMS Westling and HIMS Preuze.

The Imperial Navy is part of His Imperial Majesty's Naval Service, which also includes the Far East Fleet and the Far West Fleet. The professional head of the Naval Service is the First Sea Lord of the Realm who is an admiral and member of the Defense Council of the New Sarovian Empire, at the moment Carolus XIII Vasa. The Defense Council delegates the management of the Naval Service to the Admiralty, located at the Admiralty Palace, Sarholm, Estos.

Role

As the maritime branch of the Imperial Sarovian Armed Forces (ISAF), the ISN performs several functions. As it stands today, the ISN has stated its main functions as detailed below in general terms.

• Conflict Prevention – Globally and regionally
• Providing Security at Sea – To ensure the stability of international trade at sea
• Maintain readiness to fight - To protect the interests of the New Sarovian Empire throughout the world
• International Partnerships - To help cement relationships with allies of the New Sarovian Empire (such as GWCPS)
• Protect the Economy - Safeguard vital trade routes to ensure the economic prosperity of the New Sarovian Empire and its allies at sea
• Provide Humanitarian Aid - To provide a rapid and effective response to global disasters.

History

Foundation

The First Settlers to arrive on the vast unknown continent of Ostos were the Emerald Town Expedition Corps led by Johannes Karl Gustaf in 2016 where they had time to settle until the arrival of Kevlar where he created the Spades Railway Company and warred against the Emerald Town Expedition Corps, the war was balanced as neither side would be winning the battle, until Johannes Karl Gustaf had to withdraw for two days due to personal problems and Kevlar sneakily took advantage of this to win. After his brief victory Kevlar created the New Frontier Republic with troops from the former Emerald Town Expedition Corps and troops from the NFR (New Frontier Republic). Subsequently, Johannes Karl Gustaf needed to return to the Continent of Estos and eventually the NFR would become the Aurean Empire.

The New Sarovian Empire and Her Colonies and Dominions in 2016 briefly attempted to invade the Continent of Ostos, this being the first Sarovian invasion of Ol'West. At that time, the concept of land did not exist in Western GMC, so neither side really "won", so Sarovia decided to return to the Continent of Estos. However, in 2017, the New Sarovian Empire returned to the Continent and this time claimed its Three Colonies, causing Aurea to respond by claiming everything else and thus the territory in West GMC was born. Aurea always claimed that the Sarovian claims were not legitimate, causing them to never actually invade the territories claimed by Sarovia. for years it was just a back-and-forth between Sarovia and Aurea fighting skirmishes.

Aurea and Sarovia over the years had their advantages, Aurea had wealth and connections; Sarovia had strength of numbers. In 2017 and 2018, Sarovia was aided by a naval commander native to the Ostos Continent known as Wolfram

Emergence of the Three Colonies

During the establishment of the New Sarovian Empire on the Ostos Continent, several colonies were created such as: New Reuss, New Syrixia and Carolusburg. The colonies over time underwent several changes becoming known as New Reuss, New Nassau and Carolusburg, which would eventually become just Westling and Carolusburg until the founding of the Dominion (It is worth mentioning that the Westling

The Sarovian Expansion in Ostos

In 2021 Hawk would be leading Sarovian expeditions in Ostos until the civil war against Jacobite rebels broke out and Hawk abandoned his post. So Sarovia decided to make a deal with the Empire of Octavia, they would join Sarovia and in return they would make their officers our naval commanders and the Sarovians would let them rule everything. So the Imperial Navy practically became Octavia and in turn Octavia swore allegiance to Sarovia. But Erich Septim would not be around, the current commander was Regalius Lux, where he caused several problems in the administration of the Navy, being fired and then Octavia returned to being an ally.

With that, His Imperial Highness the Prince of Kiev Sir John Vasa personally led the expeditions in Ostos until the arrival of Ajax Artois. At first, Ajax and the Navy tried to ignore Aurea and focus on fixing the Colonies, but Aurea continued to harass the New Sarovian Empire which made it impossible to build civilian institutions with Aurea bothering Sarovia.

Foundation of the Dominion of Carolusburg

Across the Graalian Seas that separate the continents, in Estos the New Sarovian Empire and the Aurean Empire lived times of relative "peace" as the Sarovians would have rescued the Aureans who would be trapped in the battles against the Amestrian Empire. After the "abdication" of Cassio I the Magnanimous, Kevlar "V" took the throne and broke this "peace" by joining with rebel and enemy Sarovian factions known as the "Loganites'' commanded by Logan, thus creating the Auro-"State" Empire. Causing the New Sarovian Empire and Her Colonies and Dominions to declare a formal state of war against the Principality of Aurea and the Grand Duchy of the "State". After that, the New Sarovian Empire invaded the territories of the Principality of Aurea on the Continent of Ostos causing them to lose the Aurea lands of Olivie, Bastille and Verdun (Westling). The Aureans refused to respond to the Sarovian attacks as they used the argument that "Sarovia would be going against the Church" according to the Rhine Conference (which was illogical as the Aurean Empire had already attacked several nations and possibly broken the terms of the Conference).

While the commanders of the Principality of Aurea refused to respond to the attacks, Aurea would be suffering from instability causing the Former Aurean Prince and Governor-General of the Dominion of Carolusburg Richard Lux Vaughn to form a militia to defend the territories of Albion and Galia. This was not necessary as later the Principality of Aurea officially broke up the Sarovian invasions by reclaiming their lands together with "Emperor" Kevlar "V" himself, bringing a temporary peace and victory to the Principality of Aurea. Until the Sarovian Imperial Navy reoccupied the Aurean territories. Due to Aurean inactivity within the Auro-"State" Empire the "Statees" revolted against their rulers who would refuse to fight against Sarovia thus forming the "2nd Grenadier Regiments" led by Simbach Vaso Bonhart.

In a series of Sarovian attacks on the Continent of Ostos and after much preparation, mobilization and planning, the New Sarovian Empire humiliated the Aurean Empire on the Continent of Ostos, where fierce utas were seen across the continent, but in the end, the New Empire Sarovian won the entire northern island. Then Emperor Constantine IX personally visited Emerald Town, formerly known as the City of Valeroche, and proclaimed the creation of the Dominion of Carolusburg on the 25th of July 2022. All these revolts together with several Sarovian attacks the Auro-"State" Empire collapsed causing Aurea to secede from the State through a letter published by Aurean “Emperor” Kevlar "V". After that, the Treaty of Leda was signed.

It wasn't long before the False Aurean Emperor "Kevlar V" broke the terms of the Treaty and failed to pay war reparations to the New Sarovian Empire and Her Colonies and Dominions causing Sarovia to again declare war on the Aurean Empire. This time the New Sarovian Empire on the 4th of August 2022 dominated all Aurean territories with minimal resistance. After this attack, the Aurean Empire revolted against Stefanic Church because of the new Rules approved and endorsed by the Pope that uses Last Man Standing as a form of battle. This caused the Aurean Empire to fight several skirmishes against the New Sarovian Empire and practice false claiming on account of not following the West GMC Rules. This caused Aurea to officially withdraw from the Continent of Estos at the behest of the Aurean House of Lords to concentrate their forces on the Continent of Ostos. The Aurean Empire lost several important battles such as in the territories of Vasterland where it became clear that the Aurean Field Marshal called Azerius Henri refused to obey the rules of the Western GMC, thus going against the will of the Stefanic Church. Shortly afterwards the Sarovians attack the Bastille (Havstad) where on the same day Azerius Henri is excommunicated from the Stefanic Church for heresy and stripped of his roles as "Western Patriarch"

Structure

As per the National Defense Act of 2020, there exists three Fleets, five Squadrons and over forty ships, from heavy duty destroyers to transports. The first fleet is the Grand Fleet, which is historically the largest fleet in the Imperial Navy and protects Sarovian colonies and dominions, and is dispatched to engage in battle. The Grand Fleet is based at Crockett Shipyards in Philippia and a naval base at Kaage Harbour. The Home Fleet is the smallest fleet in the Imperial Navy and is responsible for the protection of commerce, shipping and transport from the homeland elsewhere. It leaves decisive battle to the Grand Fleet. The Home Fleet is stationed at Sarholm with an auxiliary port at Saropolis. The Far West Fleet is the oldest fleet in the Imperial Navy and protects the Sarovian colonies in Ostos from enemy action and sabotage. The Fleet is based at Carolusburg harbour.
