The Annexation of the Aurean Empire (2022)
The Annexation of the Aurean Empire took place days after the Aurean Empire under Kevlar V Vaughn broke the Treaty of Leda by failing to pay reparations for the Second Saro-Aurean War. The Annexation of the Aurean Empire formally took place on August 20th, 2022 (296 AS), through the Act of Reclamation and Relinquishment, where, the throne of the Aurean Empire was granted to Royo y Imperad Constantine IX Vasa of the New Sarovian Empire, thus being annexed to the Dominion of Carolusburg which became its sole and legitimate successor.

Precedents[edit | edit source]
The New Sarovian Empire was ruled at the time of the annexation of the Aurean Empire by the Royo y Imperad Constantine IX Vasa (who remains on the throne to this day), while its closest rival, the Aurean Empire, was ruled by the Aurean Emperor Kevlar V Vaugh . The two nations were experiencing the Second Saro-Aurean War, where the main stage of this conflict was the Continent of Ostos. Exactly because it was in Ostos (which at the time was the most disputed continent in the World Graalian) increased the intensity of the combats even more. However, after a great mobilization of the Imperial Sarovian Navy, the Aurea Empire was defeated and forced to sign a peace treaty, this being: the Treaty of Leda. With this humiliating defeat, the remaining members of the former Aurean House of Lords fled to the newly created Dominion of Carolusburg in order to crown Constantine IX Vasa as the rightful and only Aurean Emperor. Knowing this, the former Aurean Emperor Cassio I Avidius-Vaughn, also known as: Cassio I the Magnanimous, drafted an official document from the office of the Aurean Imperial Government recognizing Constantine IX Vasa as the legitimate and sole holder of the titles of — Aurean Emperor, King of the Aureans, Holy Western Emperor, and Most Stefanist Majesty — thus formally annexing the Aurean Empire to the Dominion of Carolusburg, which would later become known as the Dominion of Carolusburg and Aurea (or Auro-Carodia).
The Reivindicacion[edit | edit source]
Vasa's claim to the imperial throne of the Aurean Empire was reinforced when the "Angelite Rebels" (led by a rebel from the Dominion of Carolusburg and Aurea known as Angel Gatz) betrayed the Stefanic Holy See by disrespecting the Pope of the Church, Clemens I, whose he was acting impartially during the dispute for the Aurea throne, and, mainly, offending him and insulting Stefan himself. This caused Angel Gatz to be officially excommunicated, losing all authority to challenge the aurean throne (although he still had no claim rights). In addition to the Stefanic Holy See itself recognizing Constantine IX Vasa, nations currently enemies of the New Sarovian Empire such as: Bushido Clan and Freistadt Oldenburg, signed a term officially recognizing Constantine IX Vasa as the legitimate bearer of their titles (including that of Aurean Emperor) through the Congress of Leda. In addition to all this reinforcement of Constantine IX Vasa as Aurean Emperor, more than half of the Aurean House of Lords fled to the Dominion of Carolusburg and formally recognized him as the rightful successor of the Aurean Empire.
