Charles Vasa (birth: Charles John Frederick Zor-Mako-Vasa) is the second in line to the Sarovian throne and the only child of John, Prince of Kiev and Margaret, Princess of Kiev. Born in early 306 AS in secrecy due to the ongoing War of Oldenburg Aggression (2023), the announcement was published in early 307 AS by the Chief Herald of the New Sarovian Empire. According to longstanding Sarovian traditions and customs, Charles was named after three relatives - Charles after Constantine IX Vasa, John after his father, and Frederick after Constantine VI & I Vasa. He inherited his title of Duke of Sorrel from his mother.
Early reports indicate the child is receiving a civic and martial education from Falkenholm College and the Kiev Staff College. He was baptised by the Stefanic pope himself in 307 AS.
Coat of arms
As a direct member of the House of Vasa, Charles Vasa's arms are that of the House of Vasa, differenced by a white label befitting an heir and three Vasa roses. They were granted to him by his grandfather, Constantine IX Vasa.
