The Governor-General of Grand Kingdom of the State, also mentioned as Governor-General of the State (in High Sarovian: Gouvernad-Léddor eui tel Etaso) is the federal viceregal representative of the State monarch, currently Grand King Constantine III. The king is the head of state of the Grand Kingdom of the State and other realms of the Sarovian Commonwealth, but resides in its oldest and most populous Empire, the New Sarovian Empire. The Grand king, on the advice of his Colonial and Commonwealth Office, appoints a governor-general to administer the government of The State on the grand king's behalf, discharging most of his constitutional and ceremonial duties. The commission is for an indefinite period - known as serving At His Royal Majesty's pleasure
The office was created out of Constantine VI of New Sarovia's claim to the title of Grand King of the State. Thus, the State would become part of the Sarovian Commonwealth, and consequently, a Vasa Realm. From this arose the need for a federal viceregal representative, who is responsible for administering the government of the Grand Kingdom of the State during the absence of His Royal Majesty, the Grand King. Currently, the Governor-General of the Grand Kingdom of the State is Samuel Clarke.

Constitutional Role[edit | edit source]
Although the Grand Kingdom of the State does not have a proper constitution, its Governor-General follows the same instructions as other Governors-General of Sarovian Dominions (although the Grand Kingdom of the State is independent, not a Sarovian Dominion). The Governor-General is responsible for representing the Grand King in his absence. That is, it is responsible for calling elections and dissolving the royal parliament. In addition, he is responsible for granting Royal Assent to bills that have passed and been approved by the State House of Commons, and the Assembly of Councillors.
Ceremonial Role[edit | edit source]
With most constitutional roles lent to the Cabinet, the Governor-General acts primarily in a ceremonial manner. The Governor General will receive members of the royal family of the Grand Kingdom of the State, as well as foreign royalty and heads of state, and will represent the King and country abroad on state visits to other nations, requiring approval from the Colonial and Commonwealth Office. In addition, the Governor-General of the Greater Kingdom of the State is tasked with promoting national unity and pride. One way to accomplish this is to travel the country and meet with ethnic groups from the Grand Kingdom of the State - mainly due to the great rebellions present in the Grand Kingdom such as the Loganite Rebellion. Furthermore, the Governor-General should avoid making such visits during the election period, as the Governor-General as a federal viceregal representative is politically neutral and should not be involved in political actions.
Military Role[edit | edit source]
Furthermore, the Governor-General represents the Grand King of the State in his role as Commander-in-chief of the Royal State Army, and as Commander-in-chief of the Royal State Navy. However, the Governor-General actively manages the following units: the Governor General's Regiment of Foot (GGRF) and the State Horse Guard (SHG) - which are the personal defense units of the Governor-General as well as His Royal Majesty, the Grand King of the State. In addition, the Governor-General administers the Royal Cordia Infantry Regiment during campaigns on the Continent of Estos against rebellions.
Residence[edit | edit source]
The Residence of the Governor General of the Grand Kingdom of the State is located in the Continent of Orios (also referred to as Roblox), more precisely in Arnelia Hall located in Arnelia Province. At Arnelia Hall the Governor-General fulfills his constitutional duties in addition to writing official pronouncements.
