Edward I Vasa, also known as Brynjolf, enlisted in the Imperial Sarovian Army in the summer of 2017. He was the son of King William, and was a natural born soldier. He fought in various battles of the Great War in 2017, including the battle at Mt. Sorrel that destroyed the 1st Infantry Division. By the beginning of the Great Northern War, Edward was commissioned as a lieutenant in the 1st Royal Infantry Division. Around the time of King Carolus XII's death in late 2017, Edward was promoted to Captain and placed in the newly created Life Guards unit. During his command of the Life Guards, he simultaneously led the 2nd Foot Guards Division as its Acting Major until a suitable commander was found. After being relieved of command of the 2nd Foot Guards Division, Edward continued to serve in the Life Guards, which by November 2017 was expanded to its greatest size, five guardsman, and renamed to the Household Guards. In December 2017, the Household Guards were decommissioned and all its members were placed in the 3rd Life Guards Division led by Major Edward. On March 3rd 2018, Edward retired from the Imperial Sarovian Army. A few weeks later, Edward returned and was knighted on March 31st. He was promoted to the rank of Field Marshal and given command of the 1st Imperial Sarovian Corps. His service as Field Marshal continued through the reign of William I until his ascension to the throne in 2019.
